国际数学家大会召开，四项重要奖项颁布

四年一届的国际数学家大会8月19日在印度海得拉巴市开幕，将持续到8月27号。

大会颁发了一系列重要的奖项，包括：

菲尔兹奖（Fields Medals，被比作数学界的诺贝尔奖，1936年开始颁发，给四十岁以下的年轻数学家，一般是二到四名获奖者）

获奖人介绍：

Elon Lindenstrauss，40岁，以色列人。研究方向为动力系统与遍历论。

Ngô Bảo Châu，38岁，越南人，是此前呼声最高的候选人之一，刚刚因为证明了朗兰兹纲领的基础引理而蜚声学界。

Stanislav Smirnov，40岁，俄罗斯人，研究方向为复分析，动力系统及概率论。

Cédric Villani，37岁，法国人，研究方向为偏微分方程。

 

奈万林纳奖（Nevanlinna Prize，1982年开始颁发，理论计算机领域，也是颁发给给四十岁以下的年轻数学家的）

获奖人Daniel Spielman，40岁，美国人。

高斯奖（Gauss Prize，2006年数学大会时加入，应用数学领域的终身奖，迄今仅颁发过一次，上次获奖者为日本数学家伊藤清）

获奖者Yves Meyer，71岁，法国人，研究方向遍及应用数学的若干领域。

以及今年第一次颁发的陈省身奖（ 终身成就奖，该奖项是为了纪念杰出数学家陈省身。陈省身奖是首个以中国人名字命名的国际主要科学奖。 获奖者奖金50万美元，条件是获奖者需选择一些机构来捐赠一半奖金，支持科研、教学或其它活动以促进数学发展。

Louis Nirenberg，85岁，加拿大数学家，研究方向为偏微分方程等多个领域。
